UDL Lesson Plan on Life Cycle of the Frog

Introductory Lesson:  View the Video of Frogs 

(whole class view on Whiteboard via Airserver or direct connection to computer to LCD, assign Closed Captioning in Youtube)
Activity: Discuss, Draw, locate pictures on the computer or iPad, develop a Pic Collage on different frogs.  ESL students could identify frogs that are prevalent in their country.  Comparisons could be made between different frogs in different countries.  Colour different frogs, capture pictures online, take photos of colouring and develop a collage in Pic Collage App of different frogs.  Share via Airserver.

Refer to Vocabulary related to the frog and the frog cycle.  Complete that activity utilizing various tools to relating to the new vocabulary.  Capture pictures for later use in ebook, collage or webmap development.

Enlarge to full screen and assign CC (closed captioning).  Offer the transcript from the website to any student who might also need to it review with text to speech, print out background information and/or transcript or have it accessed on the iPad to have read aloud, magnified or to copy/paste into SymbolSupport to add images to text for access by students who are emergent literacy learners.
